Willie and Heather

Well, I have to say that this was really fun time! I don't think that I have said the same joke over so many times, much less just the punchline. It seemed to work though! I hope that you guys really had a fun time!
With this shoot I tried to focus more on capturing the smile and goofyness of the two of them. Sometimes I find myself emersed in the technicalities of it all, and am very pleased with the by-product of my focus. My lense is focusing funny sometimes. I wonder if I got a little sand in it.

David & Melanie

You guys were a blast! I really hope that your wedding and your life is a success and just totally awesome. I have to admit that I was worried that these were not going to turn out, because it got so dark so fast. I am very pleased with the outcome though! I hope you guys love these pictures. I really wanted Melanies' eyes to pop, and sure enough they do!

White Sands Trip

This trip, although very tiring, was a blast!

My partner in crime (Roland) and I went for an extended weekend down to White Sands, NM in or for me to build up my portfolio. It was only about a 5 hour drive, and we had plenty of shots to take on the way down. The Cottonwood trees were turning colors and about to drop all of thier leaves while we were down there, so I am thankful we went when we did.

Of course, we had to be crazy, so after a day of shooting Roland decided to teach me how to jump dunes. Maybe I asked him... I'll just put the blame on him. : ) Of course, I landed right on my rump and bruised my tailbone. All I could do was laugh, because that is typical of me.

I think that the coolest part of the trip for me was during the night that we spent there. We decided to go out and walk around in the dunes, because of things that we were wanting to find out about. I had my gps, set a mark on our camp, and off we went. Now, if you have never been there, there is not many living things there. In fact, there is nothing really alive in that area. It was so quite our ears were ringing. And when we were walking on the dunes without our headlamps on, with a sky full of stars, we felt like we were walking on the moon. It was the wierdest feeling in the world.

With many pictures in mind, I went to the park actually very nervous that I would not get a single shot. I praise God that I got them. Some pictures being focused on form and others being focused on light, I left there satisfied with the images that I captured.
